I was here for ages before - and thanks to Rob (Bearing) here I am again.
I have re-invented myself and I'm glad to be back - but in the knowledge that I wilfully deleted my earlier posts and need to tippy-toe around a bit as a result.
As far as the election is concerned, I have already (postal vote) agreed with Nick: I am a lifelong, hard-left, Socialist, who has tired of the 2-party system and will happily use the Lib-Dems as a vehicle for electoral change. |

Aaah! Mr Clacker.
Do you want to buy this forum?
Are you coming over on Saturday?
Questions, questions. Where are my manners?
Welcome back, Sir. |

Thanks, chums.
Bullldog:
I will be looking forward to your election-night coverage tomorrow. You are cocky and opinionated and funny. This place owes its 'persona' to you. So, no pressure, then . . .
Butts:
I have missed your steer on music and food, both of which I have no real expertise about, but both of which you do.

I'd love to come over on Saturday. Its on my calendar - Rob (Bearing) invited me earlier.
Make no mistake: I am a PNE supporter (accident of birth and all that) and a Lancastrian, but I will be wholeheartedly supporting Leeds/Yorkshire on May 8th. 100%. |

Thank you.
Big day tomorrow: I am applying for a new job and need to 'finesse' my application (closing-date: Friday 7th) AND its a General Election.
So, off to bed for me, now.
Its good to be back - and I am really, no bullshit, hoping for a Leeds win on Saturday. For you lot. |

I would also like to welcome you back but i'm not sure what i am welcoming you back too.

Work have destroyed my soul and whats left is being eaten by this place. Fulham are doing well but never as good as Leeds did though to be fair Leeds have it much worse than anyone else ever. Cameron eats babies and Brown invented love and Clegg is a vote for workhouses and child poverty. Bates continues to destroy Leeds putting them in a financially secure place as well as being second in the league as we speak, just awful. This plaice feels old and tired and hard work, i have considered that may be just my feelings as i have stuck in hours of work over the last two years but i do fear what a person who has never seen the site before may view and think of it today. PNE great club, nice fans. I used to like biscuits but i cant stomach them now. The new Walkers cheeseburger crisps taste exactly like that. I don't have a single friend in the world that i see on a regular basis and i'm in no rush to get one. Tommy Tainant has not been on in ages and i'm worried about him. I was Gordon Brown and Mandy and Sir Alan. Waste of time and no fun. We got a great name for a band it is 'Splash Pedestrians' i'm working on the first single it is called 'I feel like Kevin Costner'. I am giving away the 'ownership' of Reg (the website) not for fears that i may get sued but for fears that i care so little about it at the moment i am the wrong man for the job. I'm listening to i wanna be sedated by the Ramones. Mol has been and gone a couple of times and we have a new world cup section. Britains finances are in splendid shape despite the crisis. At first i was sad that turned to despair then despondent and now just angry. I make grammatical errors all over the place and they are never picked up. That banner at the top is great and i spent 6 months trying to make a new one, i failed. Grunt continues to defend his failed book club and Badger moved into a new home. At least twice we have all been accused of being rubbish. I am convinced that some lurkers are laughing at us and not with us. I am very pleased with all the work done in the 'letters page' section, it is the exact sort of nonsense i like. I'm moaning like fuck though it just feels like i'm just joining in. I feel as though the admin should change the entire site otherwise they stand to lose quite a lot of money. I'm still not drinking though i think about me not drinking more and more everyday. I tell myself that after the election and the close of the football season the mood and things will change for the better but deep down i'm not sure that is true. Leaders emerge. You have to vote Labour because. Higgs never came back and i do not know what happened there. Gutted. Always look at the bright side of life.
Best of luck with it. |

Welcome back Clackster you've been missed. Lots has gone on as you can see.
Well done PL for getting things off your chest. If you ever need a chin wag mate I'm all ears. If it helps ? BTW you forgot to mention the fantasy football title race & the world cup sweep _________________ Man was born to love-

Is all that said, written in jest Pondy? No really, it's a genuine question, because I'm very worried that not only have there been far too many fall-outs, arguments, bitterness and unpleasant remarks, but that this isn't a fun place anymore and that some of us aren't welcome anymore. And if I myself have added to anyone's reasons for disliking this forum then I humbly apologise.
Anyway, if it is the end of the road then I'd just like to say 'farewell' and thanks for setting Reg up in the first place. _________________ My convictions could not lie. |

It is not a goodbye note it is a reflection on how i feel about things, or more accurately how i felt as i sat down and wrote it. I'm going no where for the moment.
Having shed my admin status and passing the 'ownership' on i feel i can speak as myself. I have felt before that it could be perceived that as one of the original founders of the site i could be seen as talking for the site on issues or having to intervene on stuff. Now i can say what the fuck i like and it is simply a reflection on me. If there is nonsense on the site it is not down to me to try to sort it out. I may have put a lot of those things in my own head, but the actions i have taken and the above post are going some way to changing that.
Personally i would welcome all to the site until such a point as they upset the happy balance of the place. Maybe if someone takes the initiative and makes some changes the place may well feel fresh again.
I have done a Mick here. Taken a post about one subject and made it all about me. |

Ah, okay. As you know, I've had nothing to do with the admin stuff, I didn't read it in fact as it all looked too complicated, and it looked like it was just another one of those fun tangents that most of the posters skip along on
You can't say what the fuck you like though mate, as you might get kicked off _________________ My convictions could not lie. |
