Tanks for the reminder, i'm going to be in the market for a car that costs 35grand plus and would also find it useful to know what happens when you try to turn a car into a kite or something wacky like that and simply cant wait to hear the same joke repeated week after death inspiring week.

Never watched it, apart from that bit of footage of one of the knobs off it nearly getting killed and then becoming famous.

no it was ok for the first ten series but now clarkson has got a cruel sort of god-complex going on

I doubt it. With his stiff upper lip English public schooboy background he'd be the one leading the waves of Spitfires into battle over the channel or digging ingenius escape tunnels out of POW camps or summat. Anyone see the series he presented on the winners of the VC? The last one particularly is poignant when he described the heroics and leadership of a badly wounded major at Arneham, who not only led his command from post to post under heavy fire taking casualties, but also personally destroyed three three German tanks. At the end Clarkson recounts the modesty of this British hero was such that his own daughter never knew of the award until her father died. Turns out that the daughter is now Clarkson’s wife.

I enjoyed Top Gear, until May and Hammond started to speak in the same register as Clarkson. I just find it a bit cringeworthy now. I think it's ok to like it until a certain age, then after that it becomes bland, like FHM.
