Inception

Don't read anything about this film or watch trailers it'll ruin it, just go see it.
It is the film of the year by a mile, an intelligent and complex action film with a great cast (marion cotillard    ) and the best film score Iv'e heard in ages by Hans Zimmer.
The chap sat next to me was literally on the edge of his seat biting his fingernails.
Pond Life

Yes we fancy this. Could be going tonight in fact.

I think it needs to be seen at the cinema, some of the action sequences are amazing.
Pond Life

So there is a standard cinema showing or we can go IMAX, what would you say?

Mrs C went with S1. She thought it was superb and the grunt I got out of S1 sounded a positive one.
Mick McCann

Fair point...

Better be good Foz, else you're dead meat!
Tank Girl

forest words fail me.
Pond Life

The beauty of the imax was that you got to see a very big close up picture of bad acting. Though to be fair i could have watched it on someones iphone if they held it up on one end of the train and i was at the other and still seen the holes in the plot.

The best special effect happened right near the front of the film.

Forest. No.
bearing

Yeah, but you two like Korean films!
Pond Life

Seen another film this year about an Iranian Ostrich farmer. THAT was genius.

In a good or bad way? I need to know by tonight.
Pond Life

Not sure that is entirely fair. I thought Shutter Island  was good. I love, i mean LOVE the Dark knight.

I am pulling your leg...
Pond Life

I do prefer foreign films as a rule though.

If i were forced into a decision i'd choose foreign language films over Hollywood for the rest of my life.

Make your own mind up Butts, I thought it was superb.

Can't believe PL and TG didnt like it, it even had a Korean bloke in it.

I've heard that Maradona may be going to see it, if he can manage getting to Fulham of all places.

Sir Bulldog Craggwood

just watched this tonight ............ oh .......... my ......... God

It was superb - slightly ruined by my friend Jenny leaning across and asking a stupid question just as the film reached its climax

no, she's a mate. having said that she did insist on me keeping the sweets nestled on me lap and I not saying I got a stirring down there whenever she frequently reached over for some more smarties but some lads might. I was too engrossed in the movie but every ten minutes of so i'd hear a rustling of sweetpacket as her mitts were where they shouldnt be.

try as i might it was insufficient stimulation

she also claimed to have followed the plot completely despite clip clopping out 3 times for a fag in her chunky high heels

i make her sound like a tart - she isnt, she's a sweetie and I've known her since we were kids
Exiledwhite

Ah the old, she's just a friend, known her since we were kids argument...

...you're fooling no-one
sheeps

He did.
bearing

Definitely

Finally saw this tonight. Don't know where to start. Spent the final two hours trying to think of a worse film I've seen at the cinema and drew a blank.
Forest

So the score now stands at two positive reviews against three negative.

It's the Marmite of the movie world.
Butts

There was an audible groan in the cinema as the van barely got anywhere nearer the water. They should have spent a bit more on the script than the effects and I thought the nods to 'Don't Look Now' were clunky and as for the Alpine action give me 'Where Eagles Dare' anytime.
