Next week, East stand upper is almost sold out for this game, I have saome friends coming over from Prague going to their first ever English game, Leeds are predicting a sell out.
Should be tasty.
Huddersfield will probably have a new manager in by then.
I listened to Stan Ternent being interviewed on Radio leeds going home after a match the other week, he was not exactly inspirational, he basically said 'I don't want to be sacked, but if I am it means I'll get Christmas dinner at home'.
Sir Bulldog Craggwood
this should be a cracker
typical unlucky bad timing for leeds that HTFC will probably havea new manager to impress by then

I hate losing games.
And obviously everyone else is winning except Leicester who are drawing but will score another late winner.

Same old Leeds aint it, all over Derby the other night then this.
My Mother said there'd be days like these being a Leeds fan.
It's still tight but any of those team that gets a bit of consistency is going to pull away, easy.

You seemed to be enjoying the ale that was forced upon you Berry

I just wish the team had put in as much effort as you did to see the game. I just wish they had as much style as your match report. Thank you very much Berry.

Leeds United 1 Huddersfield Town 2.
My My, we didn’t see this coming.
After all of the eulogising over the performance against Derby County In midweek this performance revealed many of the flaws that Leeds , as a team, possess.
Over 32,000 people turned up for a third division game, paying Category A prices might I add, Tickets started at £27 a pop.
As usual the early kick off put a bit of a damper on the atmosphere but a goal after 2 minutes immediately breathed some life into it. Becchio broke down the left hand side, attacking the South Stand end, he put in a suberb cross which completely took the Huddersfield keeper out of the equation, Snodgrass was at the far post and nipped in between two static defenders to poke the ball home.
A massacre looked on the cards, Huddersfield looked ready to accept their fate and Leeds had the ball seemingly whenever they wanted it, again Mcallister persevered with only Becchio up front, with Robinson and Snodgrass giving support from the flanks, this is the third game running that he has tried this formation, we have not won any of them and only scored a goal in each, two of these games have been aganst far inferior opponents and in all of these games Leeds have dominated possession .
Luciano Becchio has been a great addition for Leeds, his ability to hold the ball up and then feed team mates is unerring, however, this doesn’t really sit well with the formation that Leeds have played of late, he needs a strikng partner to feed if Leeds are to convert possession into goals.
The remainder of the first half fell a bit flat, Leeds had all of the possession but all too often the final pass wasn’t accurate or was played against the defender.
Half time Excitement was provided by the new Crystal Maze toilets that they have provided at Elland Road where you have to find your way in and out hindered by a dense fog of smoke whilst negotiating barriers of furiously smoking silent bald blokes.
I never got my Crystal though, but it probably would have been better if had been locked into the challenge as the second half was a tale of woe from my Leeds United coloured perspective.
Huddersfield scored I believe, straight from the kick off without a Leeds player touching the ball, or so it seemed, a succession of displays of abysmal defending ended up with a scrambled finish, 1-1 and scenes of jubilation in the away end.
Leeds never seemed to regain composure after this, You felt if they could have steadied down and started playing as they can, then the game was still there for the taking, Huddersfield started their delaying tactics early , the referee was extremely fussy ( equally against both teams) and again the final ball let us down, Huddersfields half time talk was undoubtedly to close down, get in our faces and dish it out a bit, it worked a treat, Fabien Delph was substituted, Becchio hit the bar with a header that he should have scored with, Parker and Robinson came close with decent efforts but all too often the Leeds play was disjointed and frantic and they missed a real leader on the park. Richardson is no captain, he panics easily I’m afraid and I would question whether he should be in the team at all, Douglas always seems to struggle when the going gets tough and Kilkenny is , to be honest in poor form at the moment . Beckford came on as a substitute but looks out of touch and a draw seemed on the cards, we were in time added on when Danny Cadamateri broke down the right, I looked to see what was in the middle only to see Douglas running away from the only Hudds player in our hald, Cadamateri walked around Parker to get to the byline and crossed, the Town player hit a weak right footed shot into the bottom righthand corner with Casper wrong footed. Two attacks , two goals. Ankergren never had a save to make and we lost the game.
Much work for Macca to do, get the defence sorted so we don’t keep gifting the opposition soft goals and get two men back up front.
After match drinks in Mr Foleys and the Vic softened the blow, met a few cyber characters, Berry , Late Doors, Beastie and Mol for the first time.
Berry asks why do we do it ? Because its in our blood mate, it won’t go away.

Prutts occasionally, the non-footballer went off at the same time as Delph.
OK I stand corrected.

and the replay shows it was Telfer left flat footed by Cadamateri.
My memory has been tested by Leeds best Golden Bitter - thats my excuse.

Cheers for the reports. These reports are my LUFC life line coming from proper fans rather than the wartered down shite from the official club site.
Just hope we start to get some sort of form as soon as poss as Mick has said, when other teams start to get some sort of consistency they will soon pull away from the pack.

I feel the pain..........2 mins 50 onwards..

Leb, i thought it was Telfer who was easily beaten by Cadamarteri for the winner, after Telfer had given the ball away just in our half.
We deserved a point but also sort of deserved the slap in the face which was a defeat. Must admit, in my mind it's the centre halves who are the big worry, I think FR does okay and is a decent captain.
We lost the match due to centre-halves not doing their priority right - ie defending - and due to being outbattled in midfield, though the referee was woeful. Again, IMHO.
Too many minus points in the game but still I thought we were worth the win or the draw at least. Some fall out between Kilkenny and Robinson in the warm down after the match, reported on Radio Leeds someone told me?
I thik Gary Mc likes to see FR and Parker attacking down the wings, and I like to see that, but when you do that you must have good, intelligent centre-halves to be able to cope without the full backs in defence, plus you need wide (no pun intended) midfielders to be able to cover in defence. That isn't happening - the full backs have put in a good share of decent attacks but aren't defending well enough.
