She also said it was great. There's no obligation to review in depth the book you've just read in Grunt's Book Swap Club. That's partly what makes it the most popular and successful book swap club on the net. |
Sorry Mr Grunt, Sir, it just blew my head off, y'know, so I thought she'd be listing some superlatives, sorry. _________________ +

| He's got a new book out, Mick, a prequel to SotW. Have you read it yet? |

No, have you?
I wonder how much is in the translation, I'd love to have been able to read it in Spanish. _________________ +

Haven't read it yet but will be getting my hands on it soon.
I was wondering the same thing about translation. Maybe a very good book can be turned into an even better book by a brilliant translator. The writing was never clunky or jarring as far as I remember, and didn't feel like a translation, which is a sign of a very good job done, I suppose.
You had any of yours translated yet? |

We'll never know, the orginal may even be better but it flows very naturally, if you didn't know you wouldn't guess.
No, I was approached by a Latvian (or maybe Estonian) woman about doing a translation of COAABFILYE, and a brail version but in the end it was felt the content may be too much for a such 'conservative society'.
Pity, I'd have sold 3 maybe 4. _________________ +

Read that last week. Can we talk about it on here or on t'other bit ?
Also Netherlands by Joseph Oniel, Good little book, not worthy of the accolades it seems to be afforded. Both are available before the go to the Charity shop _________________ I guess all songs is folk songs. I never heard no horse sing 'em |
