The big event to herald the start of the British flat season is the Dubai World Cup, and this year it's being held at the brand new 60,000 capacity Meydan racecourse with it's state of the art Tapeta all weather track on March 27th.
Elton John has been named as the after-race entertainment, even though in Dubai homosexual men can be jailed for up to 15 years for, er, being homosexual. Bit hypocritical Elts. No doubt a large fee is involved. |

Kin' would I. Racing in Arabia is where it really all started. The Maktoum family have built the new track at Meydan. They also own The Godolphin Team who retain Frankie D as stable jockey and are named after the Godolphin Arabian. Which is one of a small number of stallions that it's said the entire worlds racing bloodstock can be traced back to. I'll definatley get there someday, every real racing fan should. The Godolphin Team are on a run at the moment (Frankie has had more than 20 winners so far this year), and if I was a betting man, er, which I am like, I'd say that run is going to tip over into the British flat season. I think it could be a great season for the boys in blue (Detorri and Ted Durcan). Last year they only really got going toward the end of the season, but I personally think that was due to Godolphin concentrating on their new Australian stable. |

Thtas one better than me your grace. I thought they'd nicked the idea from a banner seen at a Miami NFL stadium. |

A lack of posts in this 'Sports' section. Surprising with so many of you being passionate (allegedly) about sports involving posh kids who don't give a shit about their fans ( whuch is any tennis or F1 participent) Can somebody pleeeease tell me how much of a great bloke Andy Murray is, and how he isn't a whining miserable-faced spoilt as fuck oxygen thief. Ta! I love that lad, I do. I really do! _________________ "You're crazy. You oughta be locked up. You, too. Two hundred and fifty guys just walkin' down the road, just like that?" |

No, plenty of them in racing. That first bit was a bit of a rant after having to put up with a tennis fan all night in the pub. The people on here who like tennis are real fans, and not anything like the halfhead I had to be nice to all night in the boozer.
Re: Arkle being a twat. I'd heard he was quite STABLE. Geddit? Cos horses live i, OH FORGET IT! _________________ "You're crazy. You oughta be locked up. You, too. Two hundred and fifty guys just walkin' down the road, just like that?" |

I knew I'd only have to endure the idiot for that night, and I didn't want to end up on a charge, what with Mothers Day and her birthday on the same day. Would've been a bit of a party stopper. _________________ "You're crazy. You oughta be locked up. You, too. Two hundred and fifty guys just walkin' down the road, just like that?" |
