This week. Biggest event of the British jump season. The best horses over the best course for jumpers in the country. Between Teusday and Friday more than a hundred thousand (most of those are our Irish bretheren) will descend on Gloucestershire for this annual racing and betting frenzy. Some big races including the Champion Hurdle, The Queen Mother Champion Chase, and last but defo not least, The Cheltenham Gold Cup. All the season's talk has featured on two horses in this last race: Kauto Star ,ridden by Ruby Walsh and Denman, ridden by Tony McCoy (McCoy last year notched up his 3000th win). I personally think Kauto Star will win it, because the conditions are perfect for him. But in jump racing you never can tell, and I certainly can't because I'm a much bigger enthusiast for flat racing. All racing throughout the week will be covered on CH4. That is all.

The odds are way too short for it to be worth a bet on the two favorites, so you'd be better going with an each way on one of the other runners. I personally like one called Tricky Trickster thats in that race. It's trained by Paul Nicholls who also trains the two favorites, and is ridden by Barry Geraghty.

Frankly, no FooFoo. I'll only be studying the form on Wednesday and Friday as those are the days I'll be watching it due to other commitments. Jumps really aren't my thang anyway, I'm counting down to the flat season. But it'll be good to watch the Gold Cup just to see those two up against each other, cos they are probably the best two horses in their field (scuse the pun).

*trys to resist*

Kin' ell, alright then lets have a go. Big race today the 3.20 Champion Hurdle. I'll go wth Medermit ridden by Choc Thornton. 8/1 Each Way.

They hit big in the 60's with some big chart successes, but really hit the bigtime when they featured on the soundtrack for the Saturday Night Fever, er, soz Fozdyke. Wrong end of stick again.

Binocular. Kin'ell, great finish from Tony McCoy, there was none of the others to touch it. Great race.

Foo got second.

Lets get this straight, you work with a hybrid of the bass player and drummer from Cream?

Anyway Foo, shame on you. You should back your own judgement. Both in betting and more importantly, in life.

Stop giving him ammunition Foo, he'll only turn it into a gag about a 60's band

Happy St. Patricks Day to one and all!

Through the bad influence of FooFoo, I've been looking at todays runners and riders. Some big fields today, so only looked at the 2.40 and the 3.20.

I'll go with:

2.40 Citizen Vic ridden by Ruby Walsh. 12-1 Each Way.

3.20 Forpadydeplasterer ridden by Tony McCoy. 10-1 Each Way.

Don't do it on my say so. Again I state for the record, I know nada about the jumps. Those are my selections for fun as I'm going to be enjoying the CH4 coverage with a cup of tea and a side order of a Yum Yum from Greggs.

If you are going to gamble the food out of your childrens mouths, I want nothing to do with it.
