As has been said, match or better Charlton and we're there.
I think second place is between us or Charlton. _________________ The Donkey screamed and children cried...

avoid defeat in the next three games and victory (or at least second place) is ours. _________________ I was born to be a pessimist. My blood type is B Negative |

Me & my mate at work looked at all these today. We worked it out the average most teams should get is about 17. So we should be ok with our points cushion at the moment to finish second. _________________ Man was born to love-

Like the great man Lebowski once said, the Milwwaaawwwl game is crucial, we must not lose that game. _________________ +

Swindon beat So'ton last night, at St. Marys. Why couldn't we have done that? _________________ The Donkey screamed and children cried...

once again, we weren't good enough by all accounts
it's maddening... until three months ago, I thought we'd cracked this: decent manager, decent squad, lots of confidence, beating people for fun...
but once the first blows struck, it seems the confidence was fragile and we have only turned it on in fits and starts.
personally, I think the loan system and Grayson's use of it has failed us.
we were top, Johnson was playing okay on the left, we got Gradel on loan, thought he was a better choice, got him on a perm and then a week later brought in McShef in the same position.
If you were Johnson (done a decent job) and were being replaced, what would you think? If you were Gradel and was signing because you thought the manager rated you for a start and then he brought someone else in, what would you think?
And if it were meritocratic, why does McShef seem immovable from the starting line up, even when playing average? |
I was thinking the other day that at the outset of this campaign, the goal, above all others, no, no matter what should have been to get out of the league. I think you have played 11 games more than others than some around you.
It seems that the cup run may have got money (of course it is always welcome but you have not been in better financial shape for years) but not a lot else. People may point to morale, good cup run. I'm not so sure. It could have a negative effect on a team who do not want to be where they are until they play against teams they feel they belong in.
All other decisions after deciding to invest in the cup run were irrelevant to me. Speaking as a scarf owner like. |

| I haven't seen as many games as some but I was talking to Leb about Johnson at Tranmere and he didn't seem to come back from that injury he had with the same verve. Of all the players to implode after OT he's been the most obvious to (and Crowe). |

One things that annoys me is that we get mainly over the hill journeymen on loan deals, but I'm constantly hearing on t'radio plenty of quality loanees from Arsenal etc. greatly helping out their new teams for no other reason than to Impress their clubs, ours just come for the big fat pay cheque.
Admittedly the clubs involved are CCC teams, but we must have some kind of draw. _________________ The Donkey screamed and children cried...

Just on another note, as i watched the sacking at Hull the other day i thought...
What if Grayson took you up then up then stay up, stay up more, then sit where Hull are now? Sack him? |

Norwich and Swindon share the points, Charlton draw at home, Colchester lose away.
Could have been a lot worse and underlines the vital nature of Monday's game. A win would put us 7 points clear. _________________ +
